Donald L. Pfarr

Donald Lawrence Pfarr, age 81 of Le Sueur passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Benedictine Senior Living Community in Saint Peter.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Father Chris Schofner will celebrate the Mass, burial will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Le Sueur. Lunch at St. Anne's School following burial services.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 26 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at church on Friday morning one hour prior to Mass.

Donald is survived by sons, Larry of Le Sueur, Douglas (Sara) of Le Sueur; daughters, Barbara Klaseus (Chris) of St. Peter, and Brenda Brandt (Brian) of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Luke, and Chad Pfarr, Ethan and Noah Klaseus, Kelsey, Riley, Casey, Colby, and Lainey Brandt; and sister, Donna (Leonard) Eibs of Arlington.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy of 53 years; brother, Billy; grandson, Kyle; and parents, Bill and Susan.

He was united in marriage to Judy Pfarr on September 8,1962 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, MN. They were blessed with four children whom they raised in rural Le Sueur.

Donald was a farmer at heart and found great joy in coming back to the farm to mow the lawn the last two years he was living in St. Peter. In fact, he had mowed the lawn the morning of his passing. He loved his horses, and was an active member of the Le Sueur Pioneer Power Association.

Donald's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter which was his home for the last two years as well as the many visitors that stopped by to see him there.
