Dorothy M. Winters, 92 of Le Sueur, died on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Friday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur beginning with a 4:00 p.m. C.C.W. Rosary and concluding at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning at the Kolden Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral Mass will start at 11:00 a.m. at St Anne's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Luncheon to follow at St Anne's School, Le Sueur. Fr. Andrew Stueve will officiate the services.
Dorothy was born on November 3, 1925 in Green Isle Township, Sibley County to Wilfred and Elizabeth (Robeck) Trimbo. She grew up in the Green Isle area and attended Green Isle-Arlington Schools. She married Eugene "Gene" Winters on November 12, 1947 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Green Isle, MN. The couple lived in Iowa and Glencoe for a time after they were married. They moved to Le Sueur in 1963 where Gene and Dorothy owned and operated Winters Plumbing and Heating for years. Dorothy was a member of St. Anne's C.C.W. and enjoyed Bingo at St. Anne's School years ago, fishing, time at the cabin and most recently, cards at the nursing home. Dorothy was a huge Minnesota Twins fan since the team moved to Minnesota. She enjoyed watching the games on TV. She mostly enjoyed her time with family and friends.
She is survived by her three sons; Bill (Janel) Winters of Brooklyn Park, Dale (Jan) Winters of Le Sueur and Terry (Jody) Winters of Le Sueur. Grandchildren; Michael, Bryan, Adam Winters; Don (Jenny) Winters, Amanda (Josh) Lansing and Brandee (Jesse) Boehne. 11 Great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene in 2002; grandson, Ben Holicky; brother, Leo Trimbo and sister, Bette Larson.
