Brenda Kay Hortenbach

Brenda Kay (Buck) Hortenbach, age 61 of Le Sueur, went home to Jesus, peacefully surrounded by her family, on October 20, 2020 at the Ridgeview Le Sueur Nursing Home.  Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.  Rev. Carl Bruihler will officiate.  There will be a time of visitation prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at a later time in the Minneopa Cemetery.

Brenda was born in Mankato on March 16, 1959 to Merlyn and Marville (Fries) Buck.  She was a graduate of Mankato West High School.  Brenda married the love of her life, Robert B. Hortenbach on October 6, 1979 in Mankato.  She was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children.  She and Bob lived in Le Sueur most of their married lives where she worked for many years at ADC and Davisco.  Brenda enjoyed family camping trips, traveling with friends, and being creative with her sewing and painting.

She is survived by her husband Robert; children, Corrin (Tim) Freemark, Jazzlyn (Holly) Hortenbach, and Robert (Tina) Hortenbach, Jr.; grandchildren, Nick, Julia, Jake, Brock, Ashton, Josiah, and Sabastian; and brothers, Jeff Buck and Greg (Jennifer) Buck.
