Vivian Duenow, 91 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Grand Meadows in Glencoe. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Rev. Jon Niebuhr will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning. Interment will be in Arlington Public Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the church social hall.
Vivian Faye Meyers was born in Faith, SD on June 25, 1932 to Robert and Tilly (Losamann) Meyers.
On April 29, 1951 she married Lawrence Duenow at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arlington. They lived in Arlington where Vivian operated a beauty shop out of her home for many years. Vivian will be best remembered for her cooking, baking, playing puzzles/games and her love
for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; son, Duane; sisters, Helen (Herman) Weckwerth, Marguerite (Dale) Cannedy; brothers, Leonard, Donald, Milan and Benharte Meyers.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence,
Son, Kevin of El Cajon, CA,
Grandchildren, James (Rachel) Duenow, Anne (Brad) Smith, Shane Duenow and Adam Duenow. Great Grandchildren; Avarie Duenow, Jacie Duenow, Brynlie Duenow, Morgan Smith, Jorie Duenow, Sawyer Smith and Elsie Duenow.
