Anthony Hetzel

Anthony Lee Hetzel age 56 of Belle Plaine, died Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2019 at Hennepin County Medical Center.  Memorial Service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, February 1st, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Thursday, January 31st, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday morning.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.  Memorials are preferred.

Born January 17, 1963 to Francis and Ann Hetzel in Cahokia, Ill. He Married Cindy Meyer of St. Louis, Mo on July 9, 1993. Anthony worked at Chart Industries in New Prague, MN as a Logistics Manager and part time at Coborn’s in Belle Plaine where he loved to chat with his customers.  Tony was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.

Tony was an avid racing fan. He particularly loved Formula one racing. He also loved biking in the spring, summer and fall with his biking club. Tony loved life and lived each day to the fullest.  He will be greatly missed.  Honoring Tony’s generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ, eye and tissue donation.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years; Cindy Hetzel, his children; Walker, Katie and Colin and stepson Stephen. His sister Liz (Dave) Vernon, His mother-in-law Judy Meyer. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and father in law.
