David Peter Arkins

David Peter Arkins, age 32 of St. Peter formerly of Belle Plaine, died Sunday, October 14, 2018. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, and one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Peter.

David was born on April 7, 1986 in Shakopee. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 2004. He married Jenna Rider on October 10, 2009, and together they were blessed with two beautiful children. He loved being a father, Ella and Reed meant the world to him. He enjoyed talking with them about their day, snuggling and watching movies and playing with them. He was a hardworking family man and a good provider. He had a passion for hunting and being outdoors. His soul often led him to the woods. He felt at peace there.

He is survived by his parents, Mary Krant of Chaska, and Rick Krant of Belle Plaine; wife, Jenna; children, Ella and Reed; siblings, Matt (fiancé, Travis Schuckert) Krant of St. Paul, and Logan Krant of Chaska; uncle, Jim (Lynette) Arkins of Waconia; father- and mother-in-law, Andy and Donna Rider of Le Sueur; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Andy (Christa) Rider of Elysian, and Jason (fiancée, Erin Fitz) Rider of Champlin; and many other loving relatives and friends.

David is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Peter and Sharon Arkins; and great-aunt, Mary Jo Devine.
