Fern A. Bauleke

Fern A. Bauleke, age 93 of Le Sueur died on Tuesday afternoon, December 3, 2019 at Comfort First Residence in Le Sueur.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:30 a.m.  Burial to follow Mass at Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN.  Lunch will be at the United Methodist Church, (due to scheduling problems at St. Anne’s School), Le Sueur following the burial.  Fr. Chris Shofner will officiate the services.

Fern was born on October 21, 1926 to Anthony & Emma (Wiese) Leuwer in Linton, North Dakota.  She grew up in Linton and moved to Bismark when she was in the 5th grade.  Following high school in Bismark, she moved to the Twin Cities area as a young adult and spent many weekends and holidays in Le Sueur area with relatives.  She married Gerald Bauleke in 1957 in St. Paul, MN.  The couple lived in Le Sueur many years where Fern worked at various clerical jobs in Le Sueur.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, coffee and cookies with her friends and family.

She is survived by her children; Ronald (Diane) Bauleke of St. Anthony Village, MN, Robert (Deb) Bauleke of Le Sueur, MN and Beth (Kevin) Skelly of Le Sueur, MN.  Grandchildren; Christopher, Michelle & Cody Bauleke; Craig (Jamie) Bauleke, Amanda (Yvone) Carvalho and Rachel Bauleke and special friend, Michael Faeth; Joe and Kelsey Skelly.  Great-Grandchildren; Stella, Evan Bauleke and Isabel & Vivian Carvalho. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 1973; siblings; Frances, Lucille, Bernice, Vincent and Eugene.
