Keith R. Pieper

Keith R. Pieper, age 72, of Henderson, died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Ridgeview Nursing and Rehab Center in Le Sueur.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henderson. Fr. Sam Perez will officiate the Mass. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 21 and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday, all at the church in Henderson.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Henderson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Keith was born on December 20, 1946 to Harry and Bertha (Dobesh) Pieper in New Prague, MN.  He graduated from Jordan High School in 1964.  On January 30, 1965 he married Kathleen “Kathy” Svoboda.  Keith worked for 30 years at a telephone company, now known as Frontier, installing and repairing telephones.  Keith enjoyed a good laugh, especially with his daily coffee buddies.     

Keith is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Jane (Gail Franc) Strobel of Richfield; son, Mark (Lori) Pieper of Jordan; former son-in-law, Jim (Jana) Strobel of Shakopee; grandchildren, Katie Strobel, Cruz Pieper, and Martina Pieper; sisters, Camilla (Don) Hartmann, Andrea Olson, and Carol (Chuck) Ormston; sister-in-law, Diane Pieper; 1 brother; sisters-in-law, Mary (Paul) Sauser, and Pat (Warren) Berg; brother-in-law, Charlie (Lisa Fisher) Svoboda; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Ashley Strobel; son, Brian Pieper; brother, Harry Pieper; brothers-in-law, Terry Menk and Mark Olson; and mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Jerry Svoboda.
