Lois Ann Hafemann, age 70 of Le Sueur, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Mayo Hospital in Mankato.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at church on Monday.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.

Lois was born on January 17, 1948 to Doyle and Lorraine (Jones) Busch in Mankato. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1966.  After high school she attended Waseca Technical School and received a clerical certificate.  She married Robert Hafemann on September 6, 1969.  They then moved to the Hafemann family farm in rural Belle Plaine.  She worked for Green Giant in Eden Prairie and Le Sueur until their second child arrived.  She then took on the role of being a homemaker, raising their two children.

She went back to work in the early ‘90’s working in retail at Kmart in Shakopee.  She later then attended Hennepin Technical School in Eden Prairie for medical billing, coding, and terminology.  After receiving her AAS degree she began working at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague in their business office.  Her husband, Bob, died in 2004 and that following year she decided to go back to school, and attended MN School of Business receiving another AAS degree.  This took her to a career in Le Sueur with the Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2012 when she then began having heart issues.

Lois enjoyed watching the MN Twins and Vikings, camping, playing cards and board games with her grandchildren.  She especially enjoyed purchasing gifts for her loved ones, all year long, keeping QVC in business.  Lois took great pride in her education, and in her grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her children, Jodi (Chad) Boisjolie of Le Sueur, and Cory (Jess) Hafemann of Henderson; grandchildren, Elizabeth “Liz” (special friend, Austin Hiltner) Boisjolie, Mark, Ty, and Hayden Boisjolie, Grady and Sawyer Hafemann; siblings, Loren Busch of Mapleton, and Sherene Busch of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Elaine Stier of Jordan, and LaVerne Muehlenhardt of Belle Plaine.
