Maureen A. (McGuire) Martin

Maureen  A.  Martin, age 84 of Le Sueur died Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur.   There will be a C.C.W. Rosary at 3:45 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur on Wednesday, January 15 with a visitation to follow from  4 to 7 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Thursday morning until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur. 

Maureen was born on March 29, 1935 in Minneapolis to Fredrick and Antoinette (Sengir) McGuire.  She grew up in Le Sueur and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1952.  Maureen held a number of positions throughout her working career at Blue Cross, Green Giant and Pillsbury but most important to her was family. She was loving, sweet, unselfish and caring. A woman of many talents. She was an original DIYer, recovering furniture, making rugs and crocheting. She loved all kinds of music, playing the piano and dancing with her husband Pat.

Survivors include her children, Sheila (Michael) Danna of Shakopee, Colleen (Todd) Angus of Bloomington, Tim Martin of Le Sueur, Michelle (Craig) Martland of Le Sueur, and Jim(Rachel) Martin of Farmington.  10 Grandchildren, Nicole, Jake, Mallorie, Amanda, Jori, Lucy, Charlie, Lexi, Jamie and Eric. 8 Great grandchildren, Allison, Morgan, Talen, Brady, Emma, Nyles, Leah and Isla along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Pat; Grandson, Benjamin and siblings, Fred McGuire, Barbara Monopoli, Pete McGuire and Patricia Montange.
