Ronald Carl Wiese, age 83 formerly of rural LeSueur died on Thursday at Fairview-Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in LeSueur. Rev. Jeremy Glowicki will officiate. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Tuesday.
He was born on June 20, 1936 in New Ulm to Carl and Lorine (Luepke) Wiese. Ron graduated from LeSueur High School in 1954. Ron farmed in Kelso Township, Sibley County, raised beef cattle, sheep and was a self-employed over the road truck driver and hauled livestock. Ron was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in LeSueur. He enjoyed watching wrestling on television, traveling to Arizona and Mazatlán. His favorite food was a good piece of pie. He loved being around sheep, beef cattle and cats.
He is survived by his brother, Gene (Jamila) Wiese of Burnsville and a sister, Genevieve (Clifford) Brakke of Woodbury, Minnesota. Nieces, Pamela Morgan & Lisa Brakke and a nephew, Gerald (Jodi) Brakke; Great Nieces & Great Nephews, Kelsey Lanning, Amy Geislinger and Abbey Brakke, Brandon Lanning, Matthew Geislinger, Bryant Brakke and Brenton Brakke and 2 aunts, Violet Hansen and Lucille Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
