Rosamond E. Meyer

Rosamond E. Meyer, of Bayport, MN formerly of Le Sueur, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Estates of Greeley in Stillwater, MN. Rosamond was born on April 22, 1920, in Goodhue, Minnesota, to John and Jane (O'Connell) Franklin. She graduated from Goodhue High School and moved to Le Sueur to work as a telephone operator.
Rosamond married Clair "Bunny" Meyer on Sept. 14, 1942, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. The couple farmed in Tyrone Township for a short time before moving to Le Sueur in 1950. She was a cook for the Le Sueur public schools for many years. She was an active member of St. Anne's C.C.W.. She enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Pat) Hergott of Excelsior, MN, Joanne (Tom) Cole of Stillwater, MN, Eleanor (Joe) Doherty of Le Sueur, MN, Dan Meyer of Tulsa, OK, Scott (Elizabeth) Meyer of Plymouth, MN, and Susan (Frank) Munshower of Redwood Falls, MN;
18 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 2009, and sisters, Berniece Meyer, and Gertrude Matchan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. Andrew Stueve will officiate the Mass. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 24, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, starting at 4:00 p.m. with a CCW Rosary and continuing until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur.

Memorials are preferred to the Le Sueur Library or Croixdale-Bayport Senior Living Community.
