Adam W. Thaemert

December 30, 1985 — October 9, 2020

Green Isle

Adam Wayne Thaemert, age 34 of Green Isle, died unexpectedly Friday, October 9, 2020.  To honor Adam’s life there will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, October 20 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.  Due to Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.

Adam was born on December 30, 1985 to Wayne and Cindy (Stock) Thaemert in St. Louis Park, MN.  He graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 2004.  He then attended WyoTech College out in Laramie, Wyoming and graduated with an associates degree in Business Management.  He then returned to Minnesota and worked for his father at Excelsior Auto Body.  On April 13, 2015 he and Birgitte (Larsen) Thaemert welcomed their daughter, London.

Adam was one to call his family and friends, rather than text, to see how they were doing and to just visit with them.  He was a very outgoing and social person and loved meeting new people.  He had served on the Green Isle Fire Department.  Adam had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling.  His passion for working on cars had given him the ability to restore an old Chevelle with his father.  He also had a deep connection and love for his dogs.

Adam will be missed by his parents, Wayne and Cindy Thaemert of Eden Prairie; his loving and devoted significant other, Danielle Mellema of Green Isle; daughter, London Thaemert and her mother, Birgitte of Randolph; sister, Amanda (Jeff) Vanden Boomen of Cologne; nephew and niece, Jack and Ava Vanden Boomen; grandmothers, Marian Mielke and Mary Ann Tetrick; aunts and uncles, Betty & Wayne Wachholz, Karen & Mike Buckentin, Darlene & Robert Goff, Nancy Schuft, Janice & Craig Nieland, Joyce & Ron Thuening, Monique & Chris Kehr, and Wynn & Amy Stock;  many cousins; and also Danielle’s family who were very dear to him, Raymond & Gaye Mellema, and Dawn & Jonathan Haak.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold Thaemert and Darwin Stock; and step-grandfathers, Richard Mielke and Darlo Tetrick.
