Adeline Gundlach

Adeline Gundlach, age 92 of Le Sueur died on Sunday evening, July 22, at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church on Friday morning. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Rev. Luke Nelson will officiate the services. Adeline was born April 29, 1920, to Arthur and Lydia Sohm in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County. She graduated from Le Sueur High School after which she attended Mankato Teachers College and taught in the Kasota and Henderson schools. Adeline married John Gundlach on October 21, 1944, in Le Sueur where they farmed for many years. Known for her excellent cooking, she also enjoyed playing the piano, dancing, bird watching, and was an avid reader. Adeline is survived by, Children: Norman (Sandra) Gundlach of St. Peter, Elaine (William G.) Ruch of Mankato and Kevin Gundlach of Le Sueur; Grandchildren: Eve (Eric) Hessler, Vincent Gundlach and his fiancé Amy Wegscheid, William J. Ruch and Daniel Ruch; Great-grandchildren: William A. and Bailey Ruch and Elin Hessler She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, (Eleanor Aufderhar); brother, (Elwin Sohm) and great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Ruch.
