Albert Overline

Albert B. Overline, age 83 of Belle Plaine, passed away on March 21, 2015 at Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 24th at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Albert was born in Minneapolis on December 5, 1931 to Albert and Beatrice (Herchenroder) Overline. He grew up in Osseo and Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School. He then enlisted in the Air Force where he served from 1951-1955. Upon his return, he completed training to become a Minnesota Highway Patrol officer. He served in the Air Force and Highway Patrol with honor, distinction and integrity. On April 2, 1958 he married Violet Aseneth Lindgren at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. He was a Minnesota State Trooper Sergeant for many years until his retirement. Al later worked various jobs with the state and county. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and wife, Violet. Al is survived by his children, Eugene (Barb) Overline of Eden Prairie, Cindy (David) Schultz of Minneapolis, Brian (Wanda) Overline of Belle Plaine, Alan (Susan) Overline of Litchfield, Tammy Lannoye (Chuck Adams) of Belle Plaine, 14 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Many Nieces & Nephews.
