Allen Peltz, age 95 of Belle Plaine, passed away on July 18, 2016. Memorial service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Tim Redfield will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Friday morning. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Belle Plaine Vets Club will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Allen was born in rural Belle Plaine on March 13, 1921 to George and Ida (Ahrens) Peltz. He was baptized April 3, 1921 by Pastor C.F. Koch at Trinity Lutheran. He attended District 23 Country School. He was confirmed May 13, 1936 by Pastor W. Schuetze. He married Lillian Panning on October 3, 1943 in Young America, MN by Pastor Kramer. Allen was in the Army Military Police during World War II and moved back to Belle Plaine in 1946. He owned and operated Peltz Truck Line where he hauled livestock and freight for over 30 years. He later worked at the milk plant, Creative Tool and made pallets. Allen was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran, he loved gardening, hunting, fishing, reading, playing cards and cooking. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lloyd (Lucille) Peltz, Harley (Elizabeth) Peltz, Ethel (Lee) Schmidt, Eleanor (Erwin) Westphal & Shirley (Richard) Larson. Allen is survived by his wife, Lillian, Children, Gary Peltz of Belle Plaine, Karen (Rod) Bauer of Belle Plaine, Scott Peltz of Shoshoni, WY. 3 Grandchildren, Megan (Bryan) Purdy, Allison (Jason) Morgan & Andrew Peltz, 2 Step Grandsons, Jose & Greg Boden, 5 Great Grandchildren, Kai, Kruz & Kohyn Morgan, Declan & Charlotte Purdy, Sister, Vera Amyotte of Belle Plaine & Sister in law, Erna Panning of Hamburg, Many Nieces & Nephews.
