Allie J. Weber, age 88 of Arlington, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his home in Arlington, MN.  A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, September 18th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington, MN.  Due to COVID restrictions, the service will be private, but the family invites all to follow the funeral procession from St. Mary’s Church to the St. Thomas Cemetery, Jessenland.  Please meet at the church by 11:15 a.m.

Allie was born on December 1, 1931, in Jessenland Township, Sibley County, to Aloysius & Anne (Madden) Weber.  He attended the Silver Lake Country School in Jessenland Township through eighth grade and graduated from Arlington High School in 1950. In 1954, he was drafted into the United States Army and drove jeep for the Army commanders in Germany. On November 3, 1956, he married Geraldine Gildea at St. Helena Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN.  Allie and his family lived and farmed in Jessenland until retiring and moving to Arlington in 2005.  He was a long-time member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Jessenland, and most recently, St. Mary’s in Arlington. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and served as a Grand Knight.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling Irish stories, visiting with friends and relatives, and attending the Jessenland Irish Festivals.

Allie is survived by his wife, Geraldine; children: John of  Barstow, CA; Ann (Stephen) Wiener of St. Louis Park, MN; Nancy Helm of Edina, MN; Mary (Rick) Marconi of Naples, FL; Janet (Steve) Geib of Arlington, MN; Peter (Shannon) Weber of Henderson, MN and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Weber of Henderson, MN. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his son, Brian, and his parents, Aloysius and Anne Weber.
