Andrew "Andy" Berger

Andrew “Andy” J. Berger, age 72 of  Henderson, died at his home on Sunday, December 29, 2019.  Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, January 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Henderson, MN.  Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, at the Kolden Funeral home in Le Sueur from 4:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday morning, 1 hour prior to Mass. A private burial will be at a later date.  Celebration, time of sharing and lunch will follow Mass at the Scenic Escape Barn, 12:30 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m, (25628  337th Lane, Henderson, MN  56044)..

Andy was born on August 23, 1947 in Glencoe, MN. He was the 6th of 15 born to Mark and Rosemary (Bailey) Berger.  He grew up in Belle Plaine and attended Belle Plaine Schools.  He married Cheryl Hedrich on May 12, 1967. Andy established Berger Floorcoverings in 1967 and spent 40 years selling and installing floor coverings. He had many interests throughout his life but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren

He is survived by his wife Cheryl; daughter; Amy Berger of Arlington and son, Alan (Kris) Berger of Le Sueur, MN.   Grandchildren; Anna and Marcus Berger.  Siblings; Margaret Frikken of St. Paul, MN; John (Molly) Berger of Willis, MI; Nancy (Dwight) Meyer of Marystown, MN; Mary (Joe) Kuechle of Watkins, MN; Richard (Jan) Berger of St. Peter, MN; Danny (Mary) Berger of Parkers Prairie, MN; Mark (Barb) Berger of Carver, MN; Geraldine (Mike) Dellwo of Morton, MN; Theresa (Brad) Bindig of Good Thunder, MN and Kevin (Cindy) Berger of Belle Plaine, MN.  Sister-in-law Gerry (Paul) Kleaver and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert, Mike, Peter Berger and Bonnie Mohlin.  Brother-in-law, Richard Frikken.
