Andrew O. Puttin

Andrew “Andy” O. Puttin, age 83 of Le Sueur, died on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN. Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, December 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Military honors in church parking lot following Mass.  Family will welcome all at St. Anne's School following services at the church for lunch.  Fr. Chris Shofner will officiate the services.  Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery, summer of 2026.

Andy was born on April 5, 1942 to Oscar and Minnie (Krause) Puttin in Le Sueur, MN. He grew up in Le Sueur and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1960. Andy then joined the United States Marine Corp. and spent over 30 years in the Marine Corp. and had several tours of duty in Vietnam. He ended his career in San Diego as a Master Gunnery Sergent. He married Judith Smith-Paulson on September 23, 1995 in Bullhead City, AZ. The couple made their home in Le Sueur soon after they were married. Andy was very proud of his military service and the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his step-children, Amy Mansmith of Austin, MN and Jeff Paulson of Hartland, MN. He is also survived by his step-granddaughter, Kristal Jameson (Josh Baseman). Brother-in-law, Tony Hipp, niece Jana Hipp and grand-niece Peyton Hipp. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith and sister, Jewell “Julie” Hipp, step-son-in-law, Mike Mansmith.
