Annette M. Brenke

June 1, 1930 — February 1, 2018

Annette M. Brenke, age 87, of LeSueur died on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in LeSueur. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Private interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur this spring. She was born on June 1, 1930 in LeSueur to Herman and Minnie (Eue) Dahn. Annette married Kenneth Brenke on July 2, 1948. She was a devoted mother to her 2 children and also worked at various local businesses including Bauman's Grocery, Martell's Café, Cliffs Hilltop Market and Templeton's Red Owl. Annette volunteered regularly at the nursing home and LeSueur Food Shelf. She was a faithful Christian and was active in her church. She was a caretaker and caregiver to all her family and those less fortunate. She loved and adored her seven, beautiful grandchildren. Sadly, Alzheimer's disease robbed her of the chance to ever know her four, beautiful great granddaughters. She would have been overjoyed to share in their lives. Annette was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters, Helen Kotasek and Agnes Dahn, brothers, Robert Dahn and Elmer Dahn. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth. Son, Gary Brenke of Cross lake and daughter, Susan (Rick) Haun-Dorsey of Excelsior. Grandchildren, Heather Brenke, Amanda Brenke, Mitchell Brenke, Taylor Brenke-Peterson, Nicole Dorsey, Blake (Tiffany) Haun and Celeste Dorsey. 4 Great-grandchildren, Ella Brenke-Lutringer, Lilah Belisle, Audriana Haun, Charlotte Haun and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
