Arlen W. Hildebrandt

Arlen W. Hildebrandt, age 70 of rural Gaylord passed away November 20, 2019 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington with visitation continuing one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church. Interment with military honors will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord.

Arlen Willis Hildebrandt was born in Gaylord on January 8, 1949, the youngest of nine children to Otto and Laura (Schmidt) Hildebrandt. He worked the majority of his career as a machinist for Seneca Foods from 1976-2011. Arlen married Sandy Martin, Betty Grenier, then Gail Boese in 1991. He was a member of the Gaylord Game Protective League where he shot trap. He had an appreciation and love for guns, old cars, trucks and tractors.

Arlen is survived by his wife, Gail Hildebrandt; children, Keri Grant, Jason (Karri) Stiller, Travis Hildebrandt, Brandy (Jamie) Morrow, Tara (Brett) Lange, and Bill (Janet) Boese; grandchildren, Cody Manchester, Jacob Stiller, Zachary Stiller, Ryan (Kourtney) DeBlois, Tyler DeBlois, Brandon Hildebrandt, Cody Boese, Mitchell Boese, Lexi Morrow, and Gavin Morrow; great-grandchild, Lainey DeBlois; siblings, Donald (Geraldine), Maynard, Roger (Lynda), Marlene Kloeckl, Jerome (Eunice), Laurel (Bob) Bauer, and Darla (Larry) Abraham; and his beloved dog, Annie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Laura Hildebrandt; brother, Charles; and siblings-in-law, Marlis Hildebrandt, Paul Kloeckl, and Jean Hildebrandt.
