Arlene A. Meyer

Arlene A. Meyer, age 92 of LeSueur, died on Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Minnesota Valley Health Facility in LeSueur, MN. Funeral services will be on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00 am. At Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in LeSueur.Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Arlene was born on June 2, 1924 to Fred & Lily (Manthe) Mann in Alma City, MN. She grew up in the Alma City/Pemberton area. She graduated from Janesville High School in Janesville, MN. She married Wilfred Meyer on January 17, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, MN. The couple lived in Janesville, Waseca, and Mankato before settling in LeSueur, MN in 1965. Arlene worked many years in the Advertising Dept. of Green Giant in LeSueur. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 daughters; Judith Thurow of LeSueur, MN; Pamela (Kerry) McKnight of Minneapolis, MN, & Vicki Meyer of Mankato, MN. Granddaughters; Alissa (Jeoff) Begin of Milwaukee, WI; Crystal Chambers & her special friend Donovan LaBarr; & Lacey (Luis) Gonzalez of Minneapolis, MN. Great-Grandchildren; Tatum, Trinitie, & Madeleine. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred on 2/20/2009; sister, Leona Hinze; and son in-law, Robert Thurow.
