Arlene S. Pfarr

Arlene S. Pfarr, age 76 of Le Sueur died at her home after a short illness Wednesday morning, April 1, 2020. Memorial services will be on Monday, August 3, 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN.  Masks and distancing is recommended.

Arlene was born on December 12, 1943 to Melvin H. and Lydia (Denzer) Stier in St. Peter, MN.  She grew up in rural Scott County and graduated from Belle Plaine High School.  She married Robert Pfarr on February 23, 1963 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in rural Henderson.  The couple lived in Le Sueur for many years.  Arlene worked for the State Hospital in St. Peter, MN for 10 years where she worked towards her LPN Nursing Degree.  She later began work with the Gardenview Nursing Home in Le Sueur where she worked for 35 years.  Arlene was active in her community and church.  Arlene enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, gardening, canning and vacationing.  She enjoyed her time with family and grandchildren, as well as always hosting the holidays.

She is survived by her sons; Robert (Cari) Pfarr of Le Center, MN; Kurt (Brenda) Pfarr of Mankato, Joe Pfarr (Kelli Schultz) of Le Sueur, MN and son-in-law, Jon Wolfe of Lino Lakes, MN.  Grandchildren; Kellie Pfarr, Alec Pfarr, Jacob Wolfe, Jarek Wolfe, Jadon Wolfe & Hunter Pfarr.  Sister, Anita Tiegs of Henderson, MN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1998; daughter, Janelle Wolfe in 2019; parents; brother, Ivan Stier and sister, Aldena Weyl.
