Arlis Ann Fahrenkamp

Arlis Ann Fahrenkamp, age 78 of Belle Plaine, passed away on July 12, 2014 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be at 1p.m. on Tuesday, July 15 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. John Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Arlis was born in Hutchinson on August 4, 1935 to Otto and Ella (Schiro) Runke. She grew up in Cedar Mills and graduated from Hutchinson High School. On May 29, 1965 she married Gerald Fahrenkamp in Cedar Mills. They moved to Belle Plaine in 1972 where they farmed and also owned J & M Plastics from 1987-1999. She was a member of the Trinity Ladies Aid, Choir, and Meals on Wheels. Arlis enjoyed old time music & dancing, word searches, gardening, canning, and watching the Twins and Lynx. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1998, and brothers in law, Raymond Hoff, Ed Plekkenpol and Harvey Fahrenkamp. Arlis is survived by her children, Michael Fahrenkamp of Montgomery, Jodi (Jeff) Foster of Cologne, Granddaughters, Kendall and Kaelin, Sister, Delores Hoff of Hutchinson, Brother, Ken (Evy) Runke of Richfield, In Laws, Jeanne Fahrenkamp of Jordan, Lorna Plekkenpol of Shakopee, Waldo (Arlene) Fahrenkamp of Shakopee, Ruth Fahrenkamp of Jordan, and Rudolph (Betty) Fahrenkamp of Prior Lake, many nieces and nephews.
