Arnold P. Woestehoff

Arnold P. Woestehoff, age 74 of Belle Plaine died on November 20, 2011 at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church Saturday. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Arnold was born on October 2, 1937 to Paul and Pauline (Krentz) Woestehoff. He grew up in Blakeley Township and attended District 40 country school in Blakeley Township. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1955. From 1955-1959 Arnold honorably served his country by joining the Air Force. On May 19, 1962 he married Irma (Malz) at Trinity Lutheran Church. They lived in Inver Grove Heights for 14 years before moving back to the Blakeley Twp area. He worked as a Tax Examiner for the State of Minnesota for 32 years before he retired in 1999 due to health issues. He was involved in many civic organizations over the years including, treasurer at Trinity Lutheran Church and he was on the Blakeley Township Board. He enjoyed snowmobiling, spending time with his grandchildren, attending air shows, baseball games, gardening, movies, listening to music and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Kroells; brothers-in-law, William P. Kroells and Earl Schmidt. Arnold is survived by his wife, Irma of Belle Plaine; daughter, Kristi (Tony) Juaire of Belle Plaine; and son, Paul (Lisa) Woestehoff of Jordan; 4 grandchildren, Zachery and Joshua Juaire, Paul and Kyle Woestehoff; sister, Eldora Schmidt of Belle Plaine; brother, Ralph Woestehoff of Belle Plaine; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allan (Leona) Sellnow of Belle Plaine, Don (Lila) Courtney of Algona, IA, Ralph (Debra) Malz of Belle Plaine and Roger (Deborah) Malz of Belle Plaine and many nieces and nephews.
