Barbara Elizabeth Quast

Barbara Elizabeth Quast, age 76 of Belle Plaine, passed away on January 15, 2015 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 19 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Thomas Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at church on Monday morning. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Jordan. Barb was born in New Prague on January 12, 1939 to Tony and Catherine (Halloran) Adams. She was raised in Jordan along with her sister Peg. After graduating from Jordan High School, she attended Rasmussen Business College. She married Quentin Raddatz and they moved to Belle Plaine where they had three children. Barb worked at the Hope Residence in Belle Plaine for several years where she made many friends and memories with her co-workers. On June 17, 2000 she married Lorenz Quast in Kelso Township. She is survived by her husband, Lorenz of Belle Plaine, Children Tony (Sue) Raddatz of Belle Plaine, Ann Palacios (Bruce VanTassel) of Belle Plaine, Mike Raddatz (Leslee Miller) of Arlington, Sister, Peg Adams of St. Louis Park, Good Friend, Helen Eisel of St. Louis Park, Sister-in-law, Caroline Robillard (Roger Freedman) of Santa Barbara, CA, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
