Barry Owen Lovelace

Barry Owen Lovelace, age 55 of Henderson formerly of Le Sueur, died Monday, October 7, 2019.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14 at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur.

Barry was born on April 17, 1964 to Gary and Sandra (Bierma) Lovelace in Omaha, Nebraska.  He graduated in Nebraska from North Platte High School.  Shortly after graduation Barry took it upon himself to enroll in the Nebraska National Guard, which he was very proud to be a part of.  On November 27, 1987 he married the love of his life, Tammy Renteria out in Wyoming.  While living in Wyoming he became a firefighter for a brief period of time.

Barry was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, and loved everything and anything to do with the Broncos.  He was also a big fan of NASCAR racing.  Saying Barry enjoyed fishing would be an understatement, he had a passion for it and would go as often as he could.  For anyone who knew Barry knew what his relationship with coffee was like, he was obsessed with coffee!  Above all else Barry’s pride and joys in life were his children and grandchildren whom will miss him deeply.

He is survived by his children, Elias Lovelace of Le Sueur, Mercedes Lovelace of Le Sueur, and Austin Lovelace of Henderson; step-daughter, Tory Pearson; grandchildren, Aidan Pearson, and Adelynn and Xander Lovelace; former wife, Tammy Renteria of Le Sueur; mother, Sandra (Wally) Gale of North Platte, NE; siblings, Deborah Scott of Springfield, MO, Brenda (Rick) Rivera of Rosemount, MN, Casey (Suzie) Lovelace of Blaine, MN, Bonnie Lovelace of North Platte, NE, and Lacey Lovelace of North Platte, NE; and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his little buddies, Goliath and Theo.

Barry is preceded in death by his father, Gary; and infant brother, Jerry.

Because Barry wasn't a flower enthusiast, the family would prefer, if you wish to send a memorial, chocolates or scratch-offs, Barry's favorites.
