Bernhard "Bernie" Mutzke, 58 of LeSueur died on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Funeral Service will be at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in LeSueur. Pastor David Shilling will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Ottawa Cemetery. Bernie was born on June 22, 1953 to Egon and Eunice (Bartsch) Mutzke in Mankato, MN. He was raised in Mankato and graduated from Mankato High School. He entered into the U.S. Marine Corp and served his country during the Vietnam Era. On May 1, 1976 he married Lorna Haack in St. Peter, MN. After they married they moved to Fridley, where they owned and operated Metropolitan Guard Dog. In 1979 they moved to the LeSueur area and he worked for Unimin Sand as a screen operator. He was a member of the LeSueur American Legion, enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and his grandchildren. Bernie is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Joe Hengy and sister-in-law Ethel Haack. He is survived by his wife, Lorna of LeSueur; sons, Bernhard Jr. (Andrea) Mutzke of Acworth, GA, Brian (Kelsie) Mutzke of St. Peter and Kenneth Mutzke of LeSueur; 2 grandchildren Hunter Mutzke and AlmaLisa Mutzke; Step Grandson, Jacob Powers-Endresen parents, Egon and Eunice Mutzke of Mankato; sisters, Nancy Hengy of Eagan, Julie (Matt) Westermayer of Mankato and Kathy (Craig) Rozman of Thornton, CO; brother, Arnold (Susan) Mutzke of North Mankato; brother-in-law, Fred (Diane) Haack of St. Cloud and Arvid Haack of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Ardina (Norman) Radke of Owatonna and many nieces and nephews.
