Betty Boeder, age 74 of rural Arlington died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is in charge of the arrangements. Betty was born on May 7, 1936 in Arlington to August and Frances (Bandemer) Pieschke. She was baptized on May 31, 1936 at the home of her grandparents in Plato, Mn. Betty was confirmed on April 2, 1950 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. She attended and graduated from Arlington High School in 1954. On April 30, 1955 Betty married Curtis Boeder at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. To this union was born one son, Curtis, Jr. Betty volunteered at St. Paul's Lutheran School, was interested and a collector of antiques, loved gardening and raising flowers. She was a member of the Arlington Garden Club and the former St. Paul's Lutheran Ladies Aid. Betty is survived by her husband; Curtis Boeder of Arlington, son; Curtis, Jr. (Victoria) Boeder of Hillsboro, Or., and grandsons; James and John Boeder. She is preceded in death by her parents. Casket bearers for the funeral will be: James Boeder, John Boeder, Marvin Riebe, Douglas Bandemer, Earlyn Sickmann, and Bill West.
