Betty I. Curran, age 85 of Belle Plaine, died on August 7, 2014 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Graveside service will be held at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Betty was born in Minneapolis on May 24, 1929 to Jefferson and Margaret (Beckwith) MacAllister. She married Tom Pugh on February 3, 1952 in Iowa. She later married Tom Curran in 1972 in South Dakota. She lived in Minneapolis metro area most of her life, moving to Shakopee, Jordan and Belle Plaine in her later years. Betty loved puzzles, bowling and cribbage. She is preceded in death by her parents and both husbands. Betty is survived by her children, David ( special friend Kathy Will) Steinkopf of Bloomington, Linda Pugh of Wayzata, Pat Pugh of Hastings, Tom (Robyn) Pugh of Henderson, Kevan (LuAnn) Pugh of Waconia, Steven Pugh of Minneapolis, Michael Pugh of Minneapolis, 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren 2 brothers; Richard (Audrey) MacAllister, N. Ft. Meyers, FL & Gerald (Kathy) MacAllister of Vancouver, WA. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husbands; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsey & siblings, Irving MacAllister and Vivian True.
