Betty Ann Mollenhauer

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Mollenhauer, age 90, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Monday, December 18 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will take place at a later date, in Mound Cemetery. Betty was born on October 31, 1927 to John and Eva (Owens) Hanifan in Blue Earth, and grew up in Fairmont, MN. She married Floyd Mollenhauer in 1952 and resided in Le Sueur. She worked at Green Giant and Pillsbury as a food technologist, retiring in 1986. Volunteer activities included Golden Ambassadors, Green Giant Museum, Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and nursing home, Zion Church, Naomi Circle, and Sharon Co. Extension Group. Betty was preceded in death by husband, Floyd; parents, John and Eva (Owens) Hanifan and two siblings. She is survived by her children, Donna (Duffy) Almquist, Bill (Faye) Mollenhauer, Eva (Ralph) Fix, and Sue (Jon) Gunther; grandchildren, Ajur, Ashley, Marty, Andy, Jordan, Jon, Hayley, Laura, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Claire, Tinsley, and Tucker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be distributed to Allina Hospice and Zion Church. May you rest in peace, Mom, your memory will remain in our hearts.
