Beverly Plonski, age 67 of Belle Plaine passed away on July 26, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee, MN. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday at church. VFW and American Legion Auxiliary prayers will be 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Lexington, MN. Beverly was born on October 13, 1942 to Walter and Aune (Maa) Arfman in Duluth, MN. She grew up in Floodwood, MN and graduated from Floodwood High School. She received her Occupational Therapy Associated Degree and worked as an Activity Director in Minneapolis prior to moving to Belle Plaine. She married Joeseph Plonski on June 14, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN. Beverly worked as an activities director at the Lutheran Home for many years. She later worked as a Case Aide for Scott County until her retirement on October 26, 2006. She was a Past District President of the VFW Auxiliary, a VFW and American Legion Auxiliary member; she was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross bloodmobile and was a Belle Plaine Historical Society board member. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, brother Raymond Arfman and husband, Joseph Plonski. She is survived by her Son, Jim (Shari) Esson of Austin, MN; Grandchildren, Afton and Mackenzie Esson Brothers, Edward (LaVonne) Arfman of Queens Creek, AZ, John (Susan) Arfman of Wright, MN, David (Colleen) Arfman of Floodwood, MN; Sister-in-law, Sharon Arfman of Scandia, MN; Special nephew, Taylor Brandt; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
