Bill Kliefoth, age 92 of Belle Plaine, passed away on Monday, May 15th at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Roger Hessian will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment with Military Honors will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Tuesday. William Arthur Kliefoth was born in Belle Plaine on September 14, 1924 to Fred and Bridget (Glynn) Kliefoth. He grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1942. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII in the Asian theater. Bill worked as a Barber in South Minneapolis where he lived and worked for 35 years. He was the proprietor of the Park Terrace Barbershop in the Diamond Lake area near the Metropolitan Stadium. He counted among his customers many of the popular Twins and Vikings, including Harmon Killebrew, Sam Mele, Bud Grant and Paul Krause. After retirement, he moved back to Belle Plaine where he has resided ever since. Bill was a devout Catholic and also enjoyed his ROMEOS group lunches. Bill is survived by his son, Kevin Kliefoth of Austin, TX, Daughter, Julie Mercer of Dallas, TX, Sister, Dorothy Breinhorst of Shakopee, Grandchildren, Robbie, Jarrell, Matthew and Misty Kliefoth Great Grand Children Carter and Presley, Niece Ruth Breimhorst Fullmer, and Nephews Kenny, Dan and Frank Breimhorst
