Brendan Lloyd Kroehler, 20, of Henderson, died September 27, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born March 9, 1994 to James and Brenda Kroehler. He was baptized and received First Holy Communion at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Henderson. He attended school in the Henderson and Le Sueur communities and graduated from LeSueur-Henderson High School in 2012. He was currently working for Carl Putze Construction in Mankato. He enjoyed athletics in high school as he excelled on the football field and basketball court. Brendan earned several all-conference awards and earned the honor of Most Valuable Player in his senior year of football. Brendan will be remembered for being a tough competitor with a tremendous work ethic. He was a team leader and respected by his teammates. He also loved playing softball. He played softball for coed Home Town Bank and Kato Glass in Mankato, a traveling team sponsored by the Henderson Road Haus and for Le Sueur Rush River. He just recently started bowling for Home Town Bank with his father, his Grandpa John, and his brothers. He loved to fish and hunt. He had a contagious smile accented by his cute dimples. He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. with an 8:00 p.m. Parish Prayer Service on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Henderson. Brendan is survived by his parents, Brenda and James of Henderson; two brothers, Robert of Mankato and Russell of Henderson; sister Breanna of Henderson; and Grandparents Robert and Sylvia Bigaouette and John and Marge Kroehler, all of Henderson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Ryan, who passed away in 2008.
