Bruce G. Dahlke, age 65 years, four months and 25 days, of rural Arlington passed away from complications of a brain tumor on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30th at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. He was born on April 28, 1952 to Otto & Delia (Wacker) Dahlke at the Gaylord Community Hospital in Gaylord, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, first of New Auburn Township and later of Arlington. He attended Arlington-Green Isle High School graduating in 1970. He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris with degrees in Political Science and Sociology in 1974. In 1974 he married Evelyn Wietzke and took over the family farm in Green Isle Township, Sibley County where he lived and farmed his entire life. He and Evelyn had three daughters, Bonnie, Krista, and Amy. In 1997 he began driving school bus for Sibley East Schools, which he continued until his death. Bruce enjoyed walking his farmland fields for whatever purpose, reading about history and politics, watching football, and anything that involved mathematics. He is survived by his ex-wife, Evelyn; three daughters: Bonnie (Kevin) Goebbert of Valparaiso, Indiana; Krista (Lucas) Laakso of Mounds View, MN; and Amy (Lars) Loberg of Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Five Grandchildren: Hunter and Hayden Laakso and Walker, Adelyn, and Mabel Loberg. Two sisters: Evelyn Lehmberg of Buffalo, MN and Verona (Marvin) Wentzlaff of Arlington, MN; brother-in-law, Kenneth Perschau of Arlington, MN and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Victor Dahlke; sister, Gloria Perschau; sister-in-law., Luella Wentzlaff and brother-in-law, Melvin Lehmberg.
