Bruce A. Kleist

Bruce Allen Kleist, age 53 of St. Louis Park, formerly of Arlington, died on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Center in Chaska. He battled Cancer for the last 6 years. Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Arlington Public Cemetery with military honors. Bruce was born on March 10, 1958 to Lyle and Mary (Fries) Kleist in Gaylord, MN. He graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1976. He worked at Bongards Cheese Co. while in high school and full time after high school until 1982. He entered the United States Air Force in 1978 and served until 1982. He began work with the United States Postal Service shortly after his military service and has worked there until his cancer illness, August of 2011. He is survived by his sisters;Dawn (Maury) Giesen of Henderson, MN Jayne Kleist of Arlington, MN Nephews;Caleb and Lucas Giesen He is preceded in death by his parents.
