Carl A. Steinborn

Carl A. Steinborn, age 67 of Henderson died on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson, MN. Visitation will be on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and also 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine at a later time. Rev. Debra Meyer, officiating. Carl was born on April 2, 1949 in Arlington, MN to Glen and Irene (Brenke) Steinborn. He grew up in the Jessenland area of Sibley County and graduated from Henderson High School in 1968. Following high school, he worked for a short time at Steckman Implement before working at Le Sueur Inc. where he worked as a core maker for 42 years. He retired in 2011. Carl enjoyed his time with family and outdoor activities such as farming, fishing, hiking, gardening, camping and biking. Carl is survived by his wife, Laurie; daughters; Sarah (Jeff) Svihel of Le Sueur and Wendy (Andrew) Skelly of Le Sueur. Grandchildren; Madison & Makenzie Svihel. Brothers; Wesley Steinborn of Le Sueur, Orville (Margie) Steinborn of Le Sueur and Ronald Steinborn of Henderson, MN; also many nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is also survived by his dog Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant siblings, Dorothy, Diane, Duane & Donald.
