Carol Bigaouette

Carol A. Bigaouette, age 83 of Belle Plaine, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. We will celebrate her life at a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church, 26523 200th St, Belle Plaine, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at church. Please join us after Mass for a luncheon. Interment will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Carol was born on June 14, 1932, to Carl and Marie (Kaiser) Lambrecht of Jordan, MN. where she grew up and graduated from Jordan High School in 1950. On September 15, 1951, she married the love of her life, Larry Bigaouette at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan, MN. She was the perfect farm wife. When she wasn't in the garden or out in the fields, she could be found in the kitchen cooking or canning. Carol was a devoted mother to Rick, David, and Debra. She was an amazing seamstress, and some of her best creations were the dance outfits she made for their dance competitions. Years later, they gave up their dancing shoes for Button Boxes. They formed a band called the Button Box 3 and entertained around the area and in Mesa, AZ, where they wintered for over twenty years. Carol is now reunited with her husband Larry, her son David, her parents and brothers. She will be missed by her son, Rick (Julie) Bigaouette of Prior Lake, MN, her daughter, Debra (Tom Smiley) Murphy of red Wing, MN; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Doris Peterson of White Bear Lake, MN and brother Chuck (Mary Ann) Lambrecht of El Cajon, CA and the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
