Carol Jean Woodruff

Carol Jean Woodruff, age 97 of Prior Lake, formerly of the Le Sueur area passed away on November 10, 2025 at McKenna Crossing in Prior Lake, MN. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur at 2 P.M., visitation will be held one hour prior. Following the service, there will be light snacks and refreshments available. Private burial at Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur.

Carol was born on March 23, 1928 to Willard and Marie (Brechler) Biddick in Platteville, WI. She grew up in Livingston, WI and graduated from high school there. She attended the University of WI-Platteville and studied x-ray technology and worked in Indianapolis, Indiana for a short time. She later married Lee Woodruff on November 11, 1951 in Platteville, WI. They had been married for 64 years when Lee passed, and got to celebrate their 74th anniversary together the day after Carol left us. The couple raised their three kids in the Green Giant communities of Montgomery, MN, Glencoe, MN, Dayton, WA, and Le Sueur, MN. Carol co-owned and operated the Footbridge, a shoe store in the Le Sueur mall from 1976 through 1987. She enjoyed her travels with Lee which took them from China and Japan to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Venezuela, Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, across the continental U.S.A., especially Coronado, CA, and throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. In their retirement years, they built a home on Lake Volney and eventually retired in Prior Lake, MN in 2004.

She is survived by her children, David (Trish Townsdin) Woodruff, Donna (Rick Cervantes, deceased) Woodruff, Dani (Jodi) Woodruff.

Grandchildren, Brooke Spain, Bailey Woodruff, Patrick Woodruff, Ariana Cervantes and Marisa Cervantes.

Great grandchildren, Jacob Spain, Brady Spain

She is preceded in death by her husband Lee in 2015 and brothers, Royce, Paul and Gary.
