Carol Ann Smith

Carol Ann Smith, age 62, of Waconia and formerly of Belle Plaine, died on May 11, 2011 at her home in Waconia, MN. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30A.M. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine, MN. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Carol was born in Shakopee on May 9, 1949 to Raymond and Francis (Blake) Bigaouette. She grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. On December 19, 1970 she married Dale Smith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. She worked at several places over the years including, Minnegasco, Jab's Dentistry and most recently for Dr. Arhart Dentistry in Shakopee. She was a member of the Belle Plaine Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her father Raymond. Carol is survived by her husband, Dale of Waconia Daughter, Shannon (Richard) Steinhoff of Belle Plaine Mother, Francis Bigaouette of Belle Plaine, Granddaughters, Haley and Meghan, Siblings, Gary (Mary Ann) Bigaouette of Belle Plaine, Lyn (John) Piche of Belle Plaine, Carmen (Dan) Hokeness of Victoria, Roxanne (Steve) Koch of Chaska, Suzanne Schmidt of Belle Plaine, Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
