Carole J. Fogarty

Carole J. Fogarty, age 85 of Belle Plaine, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 16, 2018 at Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Lunch will follow the burial services at the church social hall. Carole was born on April 30, 1933 to James and Magdalena (Jennissen) Grundman in Osakis, MN. She grew up in the Osakis area and graduated from Osakis High School. She married Patrick J. Fogarty on December 26, 1953 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis. Carole worked at the New Prague Hospital for a short time as a Nurse's Aid. She was a devoted Mother and homemaker. She and Pat ran Pat's Place in Belle Plaine from 1974-1985. She was a member of the Sacred Heart & Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church Choirs and the CCW, taught religious education, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed going to daily mass, walking, gardening, and especially cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Anne (Rich) Buesgens of Henderson, MN, Kay Stienessen of Minnetonka, MN, Sara (Frank) Kruschke of Prior Lake, MN, Dave (Toni) Fogarty of Belle Plaine, Pete (Karen) Fogarty of Eden Prairie, MN, Paul (Laurie) Fogarty of Belle Plaine, and Bill (Ann) Fogarty of Rochester, MN; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Grundman of Alexandria, MN, Herb (Marilyn) Grundman of Osakis, MN, and George (Barb) Grundman of Florida; sister, Mary Christensen of Lakeville, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pat in 2003; son, Pat in 1976; sisters, Audrey Grundman, and Magdalen Dean; and many other relatives.
