Catina Odegaard

A very beautiful charismatic young lady left us way too early.  Catina Samone Odegaard, age 28 of Las Vegas, Nevada (formerly of Carver, Minnesota), concluded her life on September 3, 2019.  As a result of much heartache, lies and deceit, Catina had found the strains of a relationship had become too unbearable.  She wanted the pain to go away and to be at peace, and knew she would see us again in heaven.  She ended her life by writing sincere loving farewell notes to her family and peacefully went to sleep in her bed.

Catina was born in Minneapolis, MN, on December 10, 1990, to Faye (Messner) and James Odegaard.  She was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church, Belle Plaine, MN.  Catina attended school in Belle Plaine and graduated in 2009. Upon graduation, she attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA, earning a certificate of completion in Event Management.  She interned as an Event Assistant at Elite Productions International in Laguna Hills, CA, in 2010.  Following, Catina worked as an On-Site Construction Project Assistant in Rialto, CA, for two years.  In 2014, she moved to Henderson, NV, and became employed by Toll Brothers Inc. as a Divisional Land Development Administrator. Catina later moved to Las Vegas, NV, and worked as an Administrative Sales Assistant for Caesars Entertainment Corporation at their Paris Las Vegas hotel and casino location.  She continued living in Las Vegas until her death.

Catina is survived by her Parents, James Scott and Faye Suzanne Odegaard, Carver, MN; Sister Molly Camille Odegaard, Carver, MN; Grandparents Mike & Joyce Messner, Gaylord, MN; Grandmother Pearl Odegaard, Glencoe, MN; Aunt Vicki (Paul) Odegaard-Adelmann, Olympia, WA; Uncle Greg (RaNaye) Odegaard, Glencoe, MN; Aunt Jaclyn Odegaard, Chaska, MN; Uncle Michael (Cheryl) Messner, Gaylord, MN; Uncle Russell (Teresa) Messner, Gaylord, MN; Cousins and Friends.

Catina is preceded in death by her Grandfather, Raymond Francis Odegaard, Aunt Debra Kaye Odegaard and Cousin, Dustin Russell Messner.

Funeral Service will be at 5p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.  Rev. Bob Bliss will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-5p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.  Food and fellowship will follow the Service at Court Square Park in Belle Plaine.
