Charles "Chuck" Francis Kotasek, Jr.

Charles "Chuck" Francis Kotasek, Jr., age 76, passed away in Keene, NH on June 9, 2023, while on vacation with his family. A private interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery in Le Sueur. Chuck was born February 22, 1947, in St. Peter, MN, to Charles F. Kotasek, Sr. and Ella (Adams) Kotasek. He grew up on the family farm just outside of Le Sueur. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1965, and then from Dunwoody Technical College in 1968 in land surveying. He started working for MnDOT in 1968 and retired after 41 years. Chuck married Brenda Bosacker of Le Center in 1970. His passion was farming, and he continued to farm right up through this spring's planting season. Chuck is survived by his wife Brenda; sons Craig (Nichole) of Le Sueur and Jared of rural St. Peter; daughter Leah VonderHaar (Josh) of Maine; grandchildren Charles N. Kotasek, and Dylan and Sawyer VonderHaar; sisters Judy Parrish of Mendota Heights and Mary Michels of Le Sueur; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
