Chester Templin

Chester M. Templin, age 77 of Arlington, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Abbott NW Hospital in Minneapolis. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, MN. Rev. Harold Storm will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord. Chester was born on September 14, 1937 to Tillman and Hilda (Vogt) Templin in Glencoe, MN. He married Marcia Lee Grewe on December 19, 1958. He worked at P&H Gas Co., Crystal Foods and was a longtime manager of Highland Commons in Arlington. He had a passion for farming and polka music. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Chester is survived by his daughter, RaNaye (Ross) Grunzke of St. Peter; grandchildren, Amanda (Brock) Wiley of Belle Plaine and Danielle Grunzke of Easton, CT; sister, Lora (Glen) Beneke of Glencoe; brother, Harold (Bonnie) Templin of Glencoe; brother-in-law, Virgil Grewe of Burnsville and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia; parents-in-law, Albin and Erna Grewe and niece, Sarah Beneke.
