Christine Patricia (Miller) Carey

Christine "Chris" P. (Miller) Carey, age 46 of Belle Plaine passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, February 13, 2012. Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the mass at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Luncheon will be at the Belle Plaine Vet's Club. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Chris was born on March 17, 1965 to Johan and Patricia (Brazil) Miller in Arlington, Minnesota. She grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1983. She worked various jobs over the years including cooking at Hutton's Café, working as an accountant and bookkeeper. Chris was attending Hennepin Tech to become a Medical Assistant. She loved baseball, football, camping, playing games and cleaning. Above all she loved to be social and surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Ashley (Phillip) Steele of Shakopee, Alexandria Segna of Belle Plaine, and Andrew Carey of Belle Plaine; her parents, Johan (Patricia) Miller of Belle Plaine; siblings, Jeff (Ann) Miller, Paul (Sherry) Miller, Cara Miller and Sp. Friend Chad Feltman and Jenifer (Bruce) Moseman all of Belle Plaine; grandson, Jadyn Steele; Godchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.
