Christy Bening

Christy Bening, age 46, of Ivanhoe MN passed away November 28, 2020 unexpectedly at her home. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, December 4 ^th , 2020 at the Arlington Public Cemetery in Arlington, MN with Msgr. Eugene Lozinski officiating.

Christy Lynn Bening was born September 6, 1974 in Arlington MN to Elwood and Beverly (Howe) Bening.  She was baptized at St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington MN. She attended grade school in Glencoe MN but later moved to Ivanhoe MN to live with her older sister and brother in law. There she was confirmed at Bethany Elim church and graduated from Lincoln HI Ivanhoe in 1994.

Christy had three children she adored and loved with all her heart, Andrew, Nicole and Ryan. She was so proud of all their accomplishments and was always first to share them with everyone.  She was a hard worker working several years at the Divine Providence Nursing Home. She loved taking care of people, young and old. She would often watch her nephews and nieces and spoil them whenever she could.

Christy was very outgoing and could make a friend with a stranger. If anyone ever needed anything, she would always be there to do whatever she could.   She loved to cook and bake, especially brownies and if you ever stopped by she would always offer you something to eat or to take home.

Christy is survived by her three children, Andrew (special friend Montana), Nicole and Ryan.  Her mother, Beverly. Her siblings, Beth (Paul) Otto, Brian Bening, Stacy (Clint) Timmerman.  Nephews & Nieces, Mark (Shelby) Otto and their children Jaide and Knox, Matthew Otto, Alyssa (fiance' Grant) Otto, Lucy Bening & Kilee Darville.

Christy was preceded in death by her father, Elwood Bening, grandparents Ray & Jean Howe, Alfred and Sylvia Bening and Uncles Mark Bening & Dennis Howe.

Christy will be greatly missed.
