August 27, 1959 — December 2, 2012

Cindy Lee Laabs Denzer, age 53 of Prior Lake, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Cindy fought a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5 at Shepherd of the Lake in Prior Lake. Rev. Diana Hunstad will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4 at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, and also one hour prior to service time on Wed. at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine with a luncheon to follow at St. John's Lutheran church in Belle Plaine. Cindy was born on August 27, 1959 to David and Shirley (Stier) Laabs in New Prague. Cindy loved life and was so proud of her three children, Joshua, Laura and Stephanie Denzer. She felt her most ultimate joy in life when her grandson, Noah Kristopher was born in 2006. Cindy lived her life for Josh, Laura, Stephanie and Noah. Cindy was able to share the last 11 years of her life with her dear friend, Jim Solheid. They were able to enjoy many wonderful things together. Cindy's true love was caring for children. She had the opportunity to share that gift of love by providing day care in her home when her own children were young and later getting her degree in Child Development and teaching Preschool children for the past 12 years. Cindy is survived by her children, Joshua, Laura and Stephanie Denzer; grandson, Noah; special friend, Jim Solheid; parents, David and Shirley Laabs of Belle Plaine; sisters, Ann (Harry) Thiewes of Mankato and Kristi (Les) Zellmann of St. James; brother, Mark Laabs of Belle Plaine; nieces and nephews, Micah Stradcutter, Emily (sp. friend, Chris) Stradcutter, Jenni (Nate) Zinnel and Ben (Kerri) Zellmann; great-niece, Annika Zinnel; dear friend, Diane Gerres and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Art and Mabel Laabs and Alvin and Tillie Stier.
