Cindy Lynn Schultz

Cindy L. Schultz, age 59 of Minneapolis, formerly of Belle Plaine, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Kingsway Retirement Living of Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 4 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, and also one hour prior to service time on Monday at the church. Cindy was born on October 20, 1958 to Albert and Violet (Lindgren) Overline in New Prague. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School. She married Dave Schultz on September 18, 1982 also at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Cindy worked as a freelance court reporter for 36 years, retiring in 2015. She was a very loving and caring person, and had such a big heart for people and animals. Cindy brought a lot of joy to anyone and everyone she would meet. It was in her nature to help those who were in need. She will be deeply missed by all. Cindy is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Tony (Taylor) Schultz of Minneapolis, and Courtney (Chris) Schultz of Minneapolis; siblings, Gene (Barb) Overline of Eden Prairie, Brian (Wanda) Overline of Belle Plaine, Alan (Susie) Overline of Winthrop, and Tammy (Chuck) Lannoye of Belle Plaine; mother-in-law, Lorraine Schultz of Belle Plaine; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her father-in-law, Lloyd Schultz.
