Cody R. Ellickson

Cody R. Ellickson, age 26 of Le Center formerly of Le Sueur, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.   Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 10 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday.  Fellowship and luncheon to follow the service at church, burial will then be in Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland, MN.  Pastor Carl Bruiler will officiate the services.

Cody was born on May 13, 1992 to Doug and Tammy (Husbyn) Ellickson in Le Sueur.  He spent his childhood years in Le Sueur and was a 2010 graduate from Le Sueur-Henderson High School. From a young age he had a passion for fixing things and working on small engines. This passion led Cody to several jobs in high school such as: Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycles, John Jones in Le Sueur and Moske’s Auto Repair in Le Sueur. Cody was also employed by Davisco Foods for several years as a maintenance tech, and most recently was employed at Snell Power Sports as a mechanic.

Cody loved bowling and the outdoors; fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.  He really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a contagious spirit that will be missed by many.

Cody is survived by his parents, Doug and Tammy Ellickson of Bricelyn, MN; brother, Kevin of Le Sueur; maternal grandparents, Roger and Judy Husbyn of Bricelyn; special friend, Karissa Shodean of Le Center; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cody is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerold and Mary Ellickson.
