Cory James Eccles, age 44, of Belle Plaine, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2026, in Minneapolis. A Celebration of Life honoring Cory will be held at a later date.

In keeping with Cory's greatest wish, to always "take care of my boys," the family kindly requests memorial contributions to Charlie and Crosby's fund in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made at: https://everloved.com/life-of/cory-eccles/

Cory was born on November 23, 1981, in Mankato to Tim and Sue (Dhoore) Eccles. He was raised in Saint Peter and Moose Lake and graduated from Moose Lake High School in 2000.

Shortly after graduation, Cory began his career with Cambria, where he devoted 25 years of dedicated service. He started at the original FabShop in Saint Peter and, through hard work, leadership, and a passion for helping others succeed, advanced to become the manager of Cambria University.

Above all else, Cory was a devoted father to his two sons, Charlie (9) and Crosby (7). They were the center of his world and his greatest source of pride and joy. He treasured every moment spent with them, whether they were fishing, hosting sleepovers, battling in Nerf gun wars, roasting s'mores around a bonfire, or attending wrestling and hockey events together.

In his free time, Cory enjoyed golfing with friends, cheering on his favorite Minnesota sports teams, the Twins, Vikings, and Wild, and talking about classic cars, especially the beloved 1968 Camaro he longed to own! He had a natural ability to connect with people of all ages, a quick wit that made others laugh, and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. His generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and loyal friendship left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Cory is survived by his sons, Charlie and Crosby; his mother, Sue Eccles of Belle Plaine; his father, Tim Eccles (Sandy Jaeger) of Mankato; his brothers, Derek Eccles and Travis Eccles; his sister, Kisa (Ben) Krause; his close friend, Gary (Stacy) Gilberto; his grandmother, Jean May; and many other relatives, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
